Mechanic station pt2

Mechanic station pt2

Often as I work on these I think about their story, who uses this place, what it it for, I’ve determined this stand is a machanic’s shop. A stand for repairing and upgrading vehicles. The ‘Catch a ride’ stations in #Borderlands is an inspiration. Attached the shade stand to the cement ground and starting to layer water effects and ink for some oil spots. You can also see some of the added details, posters cut from junk mail, an old cabinet handle as an oil tank #terrain #wargaming #miniature #borderlands

Face bases

Face bases

I really liked the face bases I have for the survivors and wanted some larger ones for monsters, so I pulled a quick bluestuff press mold and made a stamp to make some from #greenstuff #kingdomdeath #miniature #sculpting

Prologue survivors ready to base

Prologue survivors ready to base

I’m ready to attach the prologue survivors to their bases. I want to pin them in place with a bit of wire but unfortunately the smallest available drill bits are still roughly the diameter of their ankles… going to have to order some smaller ones #kingdomdeath #miniature

Kingdom death models

Kingdom death models

Resculpting the seams between the parts to hide the construction and add some details where the parts flatten out with small batches of #greenstuff Totally unnecessary with kits these well designed but I wanted that little extra touch. The #kingdomdeath prologue survivors, White lion, and Butcher are ready to mount to their bases and prime. #miniature #art

Kingdom death models

Finished assembly or the #kingdomdeathmonster prologue survivors and the White lion, and did the butcher while I was it. The subtleties and detail of these figures amazes me, so many little parts that tightly fit together. I was really glad to have won some #kromlech thick superglue I wouldn’t have tried it on my own but it was exactly what I needed to put them together without drowning any details. #miniature #kingdomdeath #art

Zombies!

Zombies!

I spent some time this weekend #painting up all of my #zombicide models. I just did zenithal highlights and some experimental home made ink washes. I made 8 different colors using dr Martin’s inks with matte medium and floor polish. They could still use a couple rounds of details but I’m happy with this as a tabletop standard #miniature
