Shooting some #terrain with the #photopizza for #photogrammetry

Photogrammetry scanner experiment

I put together this photo scanning rig for doing some experiments with #Photogrammetry just using some #ginirig support, my #canon 60d a #GoPro and battery operated LED lighting. My hope was for something that could be hand held, but this prototype is a bit too heavy and awkward still. I created a #miniature set of #terrain with plenty of challenges, lots of mesh, occlusion, and areas that would be difficult to capture/reconstruct.

Loadr scan

Put together this photo scan set up with a coworker and scanned the puppet to see what results we could get. Wwe rotated the #loadr #stopmotion #puppet in front of a DLSR and flooded it with light, and shoot several angles/passes for #photogrammetry. Going to make a 3D asset out of it. #drabfuture

LOADR rigging

Computer is working better than ever after getting the full 24gb RAM configured, and playing with a little rigging in maya digital version of my photo scanned stop motion puppet
