Post Apoc Stripmall pt1

It seems like every #postapocalyptic gang must get their costumes from sporting goods stores and sex shops, so any good apoc landscape has to have a strip like this. It’s a long way to go for a joke but I’m amused.

I found an interesting bit of packaging material, cut off a chunk of it and decided to make a #miniature strip mall. I used a few #trashbash doors misc hardware and a cookie tray for the roof, and stamped out names with an old label maker.

The little alcoves will make good window displays, and I feel like it’s taking shape quickly. #terrain #wargaming #model #stripmall

Since the #stripmall has an opened side I’ll need something for the interior. I’m not ready to undertake making full shops for this one, and just cramming it with rubble feels like a cop out, so closed shops with security gates and tarps it is!
. . . I’ve got to get this in here before mounting it to a base, so I flipped it over and bent a scrap of mesh for the gates, backed it with foil, or cloth and filled them with bubble wrap. I added some scrap wood pillars between the shops and am calling it ready to mount #modeling #miniature #terrain #postapocalyptic #trashbash
. . .

One last touch, broken windows from blisterpack plastic!
